MIKE ZYGMONSKI, BEVERAGE DIRECTOR| mikez@sodelconcepts.com

Mike Zygmonski was born and raised in Lewes DE and graduated from Cape Henlopen High School. He attended the University of Delaware where he received a bachelor of arts degree in history. Growing up in the area, Mike always worked in restaurants including many summers at the Back Porch Cafe, where he fell in love with wine. During his youth he also worked in restaurants in Boston and Key West, taking advantage of the seasonal nature of Rehoboth Beach.

Mike moved to NYC to attend the International Culinary Center to further his education in wine.  This would lead to Mike becoming a  Certified Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers. While studying  he  became acting beverage director for a wine spectator award list with over 400 labels in inventory.

With this experience in tow, Mike moved back to Rehoboth.  He was immediately hired as a general manager for SoDel Concepts. While working as a manager, Mike started developing a wine education program for the entire company. 

Mike has gained a reputation as a wine expert in our area and in recent years has attended many prestigious invitation only events including The Cabernet Academy in Alexander Valley and Full Circle Bev Con in San Francisco. He has also selected wines for multiple event dinners at The James Beard House. 

He is currently the Wine Director for SoDel Concepts, a restaurant group that serves the Delaware Coast with twelve unique locations from Lewes to Fenwick Island.
