We are BACK! For another installment of Let’s Talk Wine!

This week we are featuring the 2015 Trione, ‘River Road Ranch’, Sauvignon Blanc, from the Russian River Valley. This wine is unique because it comes from an all family owned winery AND a single vineyard, which is rare for Sauvignon Blanc.  This past May I was sponsered by Trione Vineyards and invited to attend the 2017 Cabernet Academy in Alexander Valley, California.

The making of the 2015 Sauvignon Blanc utilized traditional methods of hand harvesting and whole bunch pressing to ensure the highest quality juice. It is an unoaked sauvignon blanc that has notes of fresh gooseberry, green apple, Anjou pear, wildflowers and herbs.  On the palette, you will find ripe fruit, melon, and a touch of grapefruit.  This wine is a fantastic price for a single vineyard wine.  The Trione 2015 River Road Ranch Sauvignon Blanc pairs best with any oysters on the half shell, salads, shrimp dumplings, or fried baby lobster tails.

This beautiful wine can only be found at Bluecoast Rehoboth, which is SoDel Concept’s newest location.  Bluecoast Seafood Grill and Raw Bar Rehoboth is the local fish house with a sophisticated edge located off route one in front of the Fresh Market in the Rehoboth Gateway.

After the devastation from wildfires in Northern California the BEST way to help out is to go BUY California wine.
