Mike Zygmonski was born and raised in Lewes DE, and graduated from Cape Henlopen High School. He attended the University of Delaware where he received a degree in History.

Growing up in the area, Mike always worked in restaurants including many summers at the Back Porch Cafe, where he fell in love with wine. He also worked in restaurants in Boston, and Key West, taking advantage of the Rehoboth Beach-Key West connection.

Mike’s passions are wine and travel and he took advantage of the seasonal nature of the restaurant business in a beach town to pursue these passions. While traveling in India in 2010 Mike met Matt Haley.  They rented motorcycles and rode around Goa for a week.

After that trip, Mike decided to move to NYC. While there he attended the International Culinary Center where he became a  Certified Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers, all while acting as beverage director for a wine spectator award list with over 400 labels in inventory.

With this experience in tow, Mike moved back to Rehoboth.  There was a job waiting for him at SoDel’s Papa Grande’s Rehoboth upon his return. He assisted in the opening of this restaurant and is the General Manager.

He is the currently the Wine Director for SoDel Concepts.
