Mike was born and raised in East Strasbourg, PA. The older son of two public school teachers, he spent his summers in Rehoboth Beach where he got his first job waiting tables at Grotto’s Pizza. He would return to Grotto's full time after graduating from Muhlenberg College and was quickly promoted to assistant manager and later to General Manager.
In 2005 Mike joined the rapidly expanding SoDel Concepts' team. He became the General Manager of Bluecoast Seafood Grill and Raw Bar in Bethany Beach. In the years that followed he assisted in opening three new SoDel restaurants while maintaining his duties as GM of Bluecoast. He has also worked with HaleyKammerer, the restaurant consulting arm of the company, where he worked in many different capacities for a variety of businesses.
Currently, Mike is the Vice President of Operations for SoDel Concepts which will open its 10th restaurant in the Spring of 2017.
He lives in Lewes with his wife Kate and their son George.
