Kris grew up in Camden, Delaware. As a child he came to the beach with his family every weekend, first at their place on the Southside of the Indian River Inlet, later to their second home in  Bethany Beach. He fell in love with surfing at a young age, a love that has continued throughout his life.

 Upon graduating from Caesar Rodney High School, Kris moved to coastal Delaware full time where he started his career in the restaurant industry, working under SoDel Concepts’ founder Matt Haley  in a Rehoboth Beach restaurant.

 During his tenure at SoDel, Kris has worked as both bartender and server at three restaurants; a general manager at Catch 54 in Fenwick Island, the opening general manager at Papa Grande’s Coastal Taqueria in Fenwick and the general manager at North East Seafood Kitchen, which became one of the highest grossing SoDel restaurants under his charge. He was recently promoted to the position of director of operations for SoDel Concepts, and oversees both Northeast Seafood Kitchen, and  Matt’s Fish Camp Bethany.

Kris lives in Ocean View with his wife Andrea and their two children.
